apt-get purge xserver-xorg-input-libinput

And ensure the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics is installed. I'm sure they have great plans for libinput, but I object to having to drag halfway across the trackpad before it starts scrolling. And the multi-tap-drag selecting wasn't exactly working brilliantly, either.
